Gabriel Injury: Not far from return

Gabriel (thigh) is not too far from making his return to the match squad, coach Mikel Arteta said in the press conference. "He's pushing hard, as he always does every time he's out, and he's evolving really well. He's doing pitch sessions, so he's not too far. We have to see in the next stages of that rehab, how he progresses, but we are quite positive about it."

Gabriel is progressing well in his rehabilitation process from a thigh injury and is not too far from making his return. The center-back looks to be in the final stages before making his return and the staff are positive about his progression. This suggests Gabriel could be in line to return in early January if everything goes as planned until then. Once fully back fit and available, the Brazilian should claim back his starting role in central defense for the Gunners.
