Valenzuela was used exclusively as a substitute, proving highly effective when given playing time. He scored five goals and had one assist in 832 minutes, averaging around 0.5 goals and 3.5 shots per 90 minutes. Despite being low on the depth chart, the 21-year-old midfielder has the potential to become an MLS starter in the near future, especially having kept health the last two campaigns.
