James McConnell News: Signs new deal, loaned to Ajax

McConnell has signed a new contract with Liverpool and will spend the 2025-26 season on loan at Ajax, his parent club confirmed Friday.

McConnell is regarded as a top prospect in the Liverpool youth ranks, and he'll aim to secure first-team minutes at Ajax. He's not going to see the pitch regularly if he were to stay at Liverpool. The playmaker is expected to return to Anfield for the 2026/27 season.
