Jesus Alcantar News: Leaves for Peruvian league

Alcantar will spend a loan period in Peruvian club Melgar, leaving Necaxa after the Apertura 2025 tournament.

Alcantar was relegated to a minor role in the competition with Alexis Pena, Agustin Oliveros and Emilio Lara over the last few seasons, ending up with 20 Liga MX appearances (nine starts) for Rayos since 2021. During that period, the youngster averaged 3.0 clearances, 1.1 tackles and 1.0 interceptions per game. He'll now test his ability in a new competition, looking to find more consistency with his new team.
