Kai Havertz Injury: Could return Sunday

Havertz (knee) could be available for Sunday's Carabao Cup game against Portsmouth, coach Mikel Arteta said in the press conference. "If everything goes well, I think he's going to be in the squad again in the next few days. He trains well, he's increased his load, he's coping with that really well and he will be ready when we can have him."

Havertz is very close to return from his long term knee injury that sidelined him since the season opener as he is expected to return to the match squad in the next few days. This could make him an option for Sunday's Carabao Cup game against Portsmouth if everything goes well ahead of the clash. Havertz was a regular figure for the Gunners prior to his injury and could get back to a similar role after gradually building his fitness in upcoming fixtures.
