Laurent Abergel Injury: Could return for derby

Abergel (strain) underwent an ultrasound scan on Wednesday and could be back available ahead of expectations, likely for the derby against Nantes right after the break, coach Olivier Pantaloni confirmed to the media, according to Le Telegramme. "Lolo had an ultrasound. There's not much there. We're optimistic. The medical staff is quite confident. He's having an MRI tomorrow (Thursday) for confirmation. And knowing Lolo, maybe even at the beginning of the week."

Abergel underwent an ultrasound scan on Wednesday that looked very positive and will undergo an MRI on Thursday to confirm that his injury is only minor. The captain of the Merlus could be set to resume team training next week and if everything goes as planned, he could be back available for the derby against Nantes on Nov. 23 right after the break. That said, if he had to miss the game, Noah Cadiou would be the one replacing him in the midfield against the Canaries.
