Saliakas suffered a groin injury prior to the international break and could resume team training in the coming days after training individually with the ball on Monday, according to BILD.

Saliakas has been dealing with minor groin issues since the beginning of the month but has seen a good improvement on Monday since he was training individually with the ball. The midfielder could resume team training in the coming days and be a potential option for Sunday's game against Union Berlin if no setback happens before then. Saliakas has been a regular starter on the right flank for St. Pauli but with the return of Arkadiusz Pyrka he could see decreased playing time moving forward.
