Mario Gotze Injury: Makes squad list

Gotze (illness) was spotted training in full with the team and is in the squad list for Wednesday's clash against Qarabag, the club announced.

Gotze missed Friday's draw against Bremen due to illness but is back in full team training this week after clearing it. The attacking midfielder is an option for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Qarabag after being part of the squad list. That said, it remains to be seen what role he will hold under new coach Dennis Schmitt since he started seven of his 18 appearances this season, being mostly a bench option for the eagles.
