Nick Pope News: Two saves in return

Pope recorded two saves and allowed one goal in Tuesday's 3-1 victory against Burnley.

Pope turned aside two of three Burnley shots on target Tuesday and made one clearance as Newcastle earned a 3-1 road victory. The appearance was the veteran keeper's first in the Premier League since Nov. 22 after missing six league games due to a groin injury and illness. Pope should be the presumed starter Sunday when Newcastle hosts Crystal Palace.
