Oscar Manzanarez Injury: Released by Queretaro

Manzanarez (knee) is leaving Queretaro prior to the second tournament of the 2025/26 season, the team announced Wednesday.

Manzanarez ended the year on the sidelines due to a bone edema in the right knee, and it's unclear if he's fully recovered yet. The center-back made five league starts at the beginning of the season, averaging 30.8 accurate passes, 6.2 clearances and 2.2 tackles per contest over that span. He might have a chance to stay in the top division, but at 30 years old he doesn't seem like a very reliable option given his unimpressive performance throughout his career.
