Merlin scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal), nine crosses (one accurate) and three corners in Saturday's 2-0 victory over Lille.

Merlin took advantage of an odd opportunity as a central midfielder to achieve his first goal in the 2025/26 campaign, finishing a good play from inside the box in the 56th minute against Lille. He also notched a co-team-high total of nine crosses, as he shared corner kicks with Przemyslaw Frankowski before being replaced by Ludovic Blas. It was Merlin's second straight contribution to the score sheet following his assist off the bench in the previous clash versus Brest.
