Ait-Nouri is heading back to Manchester after completing his international duty with Algeria at the AFCON and should be back available for the derby against Manchester United on Saturday, coach Pep Guardiola said in a press conference. "Rayan has come back from AFCON and missed a connection so was a little bit late. We will see how he feels. We will not take risks for players who could get injured again."

Ait-Nouri was eliminated with Algeria from the AFCON and is now heading back to Manchester and should be back available for the derby on Saturday since the first leg of the semifinal of the Carabao Cup this midweek is coming too close for him as he also missed a connection while travelling back. The left-back has mainly been a bench option following his ankle injury earlier in the season and he should resume that role for the Citizens.
