Thiago Fernandez News: Loaned to Oviedo

Fernandez has been loaned to Real Oviedo, leaving Villarreal for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, the club announced Thursday.

Fernandez failed to make a first-team appearance for Villarreal over a year at the club after being active in Argentina with Velez Sarsfield at the beginning of his career. The forward will look to play a bigger role on a squad that will need plenty of help to avoid relegation but is currently ranked last in the league in scoring. He could be a bench option behind Ilyas Chaira on the left wing.
