Vangelis Pavlidis News: Scores goal in opener

Pavlidis scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and two chances created in Tuesday's 3-2 defeat versus Qarabag.

Just like the Benfica team's previous Champions League campaign, Pavlidis will be relied on for scoring. In 12 appearances (11 starts) last season, he logged seven goals on 32 shots (18 on goal). Pavlidis also recorded two assists, making him just short of double-digit G/A for last year's UCL campaign. Still, 0.75 G/A per appearance is a strong rate that Benfica will expect Pavlidis to replicate this season, and he went off to a great start Tuesday.
