For those who have not already heard or noticed, some improvements to the prospect coverage have been implemented this year. First, the top-200 prospect rankings have been expanded to a top-400. Secondly, the team top-10s have been expanded to include the top-20 prospects in each organization. These changes are self explanatory. The more prospects the better. The third change, however, is the most exciting one. Instead of highlighting the top-10 fantasy prospects on each team during the winter, the format will now include analysis on every fantasy-relevant prospect in baseball while also ranking those prospects in their respective systems. This means there will be 20-plus prospects ranked in certain systems and less than 10 prospects ranked in others. There was no point in listing an irrelevant prospect just to reach an arbitrary total of 10. Similarly, it was unfortunate to not include information on highly relevant prospects just because that prospect was not one of his team's 10 best.
I sincerely hope these improvements help you enjoy a leg up on your dynasty league competition. As always, feel free to ask me any prospect-related questions in the comments section or on Twitter @RealJRAnderson.
