Closer Watch

Tampa Bay Rays - Jake McGee picked up his first save since July 28 on Thursday. The team hasn't gone with anybody else in a save situation, but simply hasn't had a save opportunity come up. McGee has been dominant when given a chance, converting 13-of-14 this season, and has posted a 1.31 ERA along with a fantastic 11.79 K/9 rate. The 28-year-old should continue in the role as the closer, and will likely receive a higher rate of chances going forward than he has in the past few weeks.

Recommended Pickup

Mike Fiers, SP, MIL - Fiers tossed his second straight gem for the Brewers on Thursday, striking out 14 over six scoreless innings. If his last two starts are any indication, Fiers is ready to take the reins as a member of the rotation, allowing just one run over 15 innings. Although his spot in the rotation may not be permanent, Matt Garza is progressing somewhat slowly (he played catch on the field for five minutes before Friday's game) on the disabled list, he should be able to get a few more starts in before Garza is ready to return. Fiers could provide a short-term boost in strikeouts, ERA, WHIP and wins if he continues on his current path.

Other Recent Recommendations:Norichika Aoki, Derek Jeter, David Peralta, Rymer Liriano and Michael Pineda.

3B: Brock Holt, BOS ($3,700)
SS: Alexei Ramirez, CWS ($4,000)
OF: Charlie Blackmon, COL ($3,600)
