Closer Watch
Chicago Cubs – Manager Joe Maddon has been unafraid to defy customary roles in the Cubs' bullpen, shuffling and reshuffling the deck many times this season. Due to the lack of continuity for the back end of the pen, fantasy owners have been unable to rely on a closer in Chicago. Over he last month, however, the team finally seems to have some stability at the position with Hector Rondon pitching at a high level. He has converted 26-of-30 save opportunities with a 1.48 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP this season and has struck out 59 over 61 innings. Pitching in the midst of a pennant race, Rondon represents a reliable arm that could provide an edge in other postseason pursuits, as well.

Joe Kelly, SP, BOS – Something has gotten into the Red Sox hurler. After the first half of the season bore putrid results and caused the industry to question the team's front office, Kelly has been on an incredible run of late, winning each of his last seven starts. His efforts are too late to save Ben Cherington's job or Boston's season, but perhaps not too late to save yours. Owned in just a quarter of Yahoo leagues, the 27-year-old starter could be the hot hand many ride to shore up their rotations and prepare for the stretch run.
