Closer Watch – A closer look at intriguing ninth-inning situations (also check out our Closer Grid)

Florida – Leo Nunez has blown two of his last three save opportunities, but those are the only blown saves he's had all season. Michael Dunn would be the most likely bullpen guy to get save opportunities if Nunez' struggles were to persist.

New York Mets – Francisco Rodriguez was brought into a tied game Friday and gave up three runs to collect the loss. He's not at risk of losing his job, but the Mets could be looking to trade him to a contender later in the season. Jason Isringhausen is next in line for saves in the Mets' pen.

Oakland – Andrew Bailey has been named the Athletics' closer. Brian Fuentes and Grant Balfour are candidates to be dropped now in most leagues.

Recommended Pickup

Adam Kennedy, 2B, SEA – Kennedy has seen time at first and second this season. He's starting for the third straight day Saturday and is generally playing more than he is sitting. Through 137 at-bats this season, he's posted a .299 average with five home runs, 17 RBI, and five steals. If you need held at middle infield, Kennedy is a quality bat that's available in most leagues. He has the potential to steal 20 bags and hit over 10 homers over the course of a full season.

Other recent recommendations:Brian Matusz, Ben Revere, Jon Jay, Chris Iannetta, Eric Young Jr.
