Brendan Rodgers Injury: Removed from rehab assignment
Rodgers (concussion/nose) was removed from his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land due to lumbar spine inflammation, MLB.com reports.
Rodgers was originally placed on the injured list June 18 due to an oblique strain, but he appeared to have made a full recovery from that injury, only to be pulled off a rehab assignment shortly after the All-Star break when he sustained a concussion and fractured nose during an on-field collision. He made enough progress from the two injuries to resume a rehab assignment with Sugar Land on Friday, only to succumb to yet another injury. Rodgers is without a timeline to return to action in the minors.
