Mason Black News: Demoted to Sacramento

The Giants optioned Black to Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday.

Black ran into some struggles on the mound during his season debut Friday, giving up five runs (three earned) while striking out five batters in four innings out of the bullpen. He'll now return to the minor leagues in favor of Tristan Beck, who will provide the Giants with an additional fresh bullpen arm.
