The best skill Kennedy has shown during his time in the minors has been his ability to draw a walk, as he drew free passes at a 16.4 percent rate in 2023 at the Triple-A level and boasts a 12.6 percent walk rate over six seasons on the farm. He did club 22 home runs and stole 16 bases between the High- and Double-A levels in 2021, but both of those numbers look like clear outliers in his career. Kennedy did very little in spot duty with the Diamondbacks the last two seasons and then jumped to the Oakland and St. Louis organizations via waivers. The 25-year-old is part of a crowded competition for a reserve infielder role but seems likely to report to Triple-A Memphis to begin the 2024 campaign. Read Past Outlooks
