Williams was a surprising inclusion on the Pirates' Opening Day roster in 2024, though he struggled to earn consistent playing time and still saw the majority of his plate appearances at Triple-A Indianapolis. He should remain in the mix for a roster spot in 2025 thanks to his quality defense and his ability to play both spots in the middle infield. However, even if Williams manages to see a larger than expected role, he has shown no ability to produce with the bat at the big-league level.
