2026 Fantasy Outlook
After working as Kansas City's secondary catcher behind Salvador Perez the past few seasons, Fermin was traded to San Diego at the summer deadline and got a chance to work as the No. 1 option for his new club. He wasn't productive at the plate for either team and posted a combined .251/.297/.339 slash line with five home runs, 26 RBI and 32 runs in 109 games. Fermin showed some pop as a rookie in 2023 with nine long balls in 70 games, but he's hit just 11 in more than 700 plate appearances across the past two seasons and has a .091 ISO during that span. His career .264 average gives him at least one category of strength, but Fermin shouldn't be expected to provide much run production with nearly 80 percent of his hits being singles the last two years.
