Signed to a six-year, $113 million contract in December of 2023, Lee suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder as a rookie, which ended his first season in the states after 37 games. He enjoyed better luck on the health front in his sophomore season with the Giants, totaling 150 games and 617 plate appearances in 2025. His bat-to-ball ability carried him to an above-average offensive season by wRC+, though Lee provided little in terms of power or speed, totaling eight homers and 10 steals. His barrel rate and average exit velocity both ranked in the bottom 10 percent of the league, and Lee will likely struggle to tap into more than gap power as a lefty slapping the ball into Triples Alley at Oracle Park.
