Flaherty had an excellent 18-start stretch for the Tigers in 2024 before being traded to the Dodgers, so signing back with Detroit as a free agent last offseason seemed like a best-case scenario for his fantasy outlook. The results for the right-hander in his second stint with the Tigers in 2025 were mixed. Flaherty put up a nice 27.6 percent strikeout rate, but his walk rate jumped from 5.9 percent to 8.7 percent and his barrel rate rose from 7.7 percent to a career-high 10.3 percent. Luck was not on Flaherty's side, as he went just 8-15 on the playoff-bound Tigers, and his 4.64 ERA was nearly a full run worse than his 3.67 SIERA. Some positive ERA regression is likely, but with Flaherty's inconsistency from start-to-start and month-to-month, it's no guarantee. It's also unclear where he'll pitch in 2026, as he could decline a player option and return to the free-agent market. Read Past Outlooks
