Drew Rasmussen

30-Year-Old PitcherSP
Tampa Bay Rays
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Rasmussen has been through trials and tribulations in his collegiate and professional career, mainly around three serious elbow injuries and recoveries from those. His persistence finally paid off in 2025 with a selection to the All-Star game while he set career highs in innings pitched, strikeouts, and his best full-season ERA. The Rays limited his workload throughout the season, which more of an emphasis on it around the break as Rasmussen never worked more than six innings and only twice faced more than 22 batter in a contest. The limited work along with his approach to pitching limits his strikeouts while the inconsistency of the Rays offense limits Rasmussen's ability to garner wins as he has 30 career wins in 81 starts. He does, however, have the fourth-best ERA of all pitchers over the last five seasons with at least 450 innings of work, bested only by Woodruff, Fried, and Burnes. Rasmussen is in the final year of his deal with Tampa Bay, so it would not be surprising to both see him work a regular workload as well as end up on another roster by the trade deadline in 2026.
