Webb was steady in a setup role for Baltimore, spending most of the 2024 season in the majors. The 31-year-old righty posted his best ERA and WHIP numbers since 2019 while establishing new career-highs in games played (60), innings pitched (56.2) and holds (14). Webb threw more sweepers in 2024, but his changeup (.125 BAA) continues to be his most effective pitch. Although he's been effective at generating whiffs throughout his career, you'd expect his strikeout rate to be better than the 23.5 percent mark for his career. Webb will compete for a high-leverage role with the Rangers after signing a 1-year, $1.25 million deal with Texas in December. That role might correlate with how many free passes he's issuing, as he does have trouble finding the strike zone (11.1 career walk percentage). Read Past Outlooks
