The Diamondbacks completed Jarvis' transition from starter to reliever in 2024. The right-hander won a spot on the Opening Day roster for the first time in his career and operated as a multi-inning reliever. A lack of fastball movement and deception were the primary drivers in the organization's decision to convert him to the bullpen. His 3.19 ERA last season looks serviceable, but Jarvis' inability to miss bats (14.7 K%, second percentile) and control (12.8 BB%, third) fueled a 5.42 expected ERA. After a rocky first month, however, Jarvis was able to limit potential damage, although he pitched largely in low-leverage situations. An August elbow injury wiped out the final two months, but he'll compete for a similar long-relief role in 2025. Read Past Outlooks
