A 26-year-old lefty who spent all of 2024 in Houston's Triple-A rotation, Gordon has better surface stats than stuff. He logged a 3.94 ERA, and among the 45 Pacific Coast League pitchers who logged 70-plus innings, his 1.22 WHIP ranked third and his 16.3 K-BB% ranked eighth. Gordon throws a bevy of middling pitches and gets by because of his above-average strike-throwing ability. His fastball sits at 90-91 mph and has poor movement, so he may not have sustained success against big-league hitters, especially when he faces them a second time in the same start. Gordon is on the 40-man roster and will be a rotation option early in 2026 if a big-league starter gets injured, but he lacks a high ceiling and his subpar stuff means he could get lit up by any lineup if he's not locating his pitches.
