Bigge was dominant at the Triple-A level in 2024, posting a 2.25 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 36:9 K:BB over 20 innings. With eight saves between the Cubs and Rays affiliates, he brought his total to 21 over his minor-league career. The 26-year-old righty's success in high-leverage earned him looks in the Chicago and Tampa Bay bullpens, respectively, earning one save and two holds across 19 appearances in the majors. Bigge primarily features an upper-90's fastball (59 percent pitch usage) and effective slider (30 percent) that produced a 52 percent whiff rate that was among the best in the league for that pitch type. He also mixes in an occasional curve to left-handed hitters and sweeper, so it will be interesting to see how he mixes his pitches over a full season. After an impressive September with the Rays last year (15:1 K:BB over nine innings), Bigge is a favorite to break camp with the club in 2025. Save chances are possible as the season progresses.
