2025 Fantasy Outlook
Because of Jose Abreu's ineptitude and eventual release, Singleton got a lot more run in the Astros' starting lineup in 2024 than the club probably envisioned. He finished the season with 405 plate appearances, which bested his previous career high from 10(!) years prior by more than 40. Thanks in large part to his 11.6 percent walk rate, Singleton put up an above-average 103 OPS+, although a .386 slugging percentage from a guy with zero defensive value is not what you want. With Christian Walker signed to a three-year contract and Yordan Alvarez expected to spend more time in the designated hitter spot, it's difficult to envision Singleton approaching 400 plate appearances again in 2025.
