2026 Fantasy Outlook
Not many players have changed their skills profile as drastically as Benintendi in the last few seasons. His flyball rate has increased from 34.7 to 48.8 percent since 2023, and his barrel rate took a corresponding leap to a career-high 11.0 percent clip in 2025. Unfortunately, that hasn't led to a significant uptick in fantasy value for a few different reasons. The first is that shifting his batted ball profile so significantly has harmed his batting average. Benintendi has a career .305 BABIP, yet he has marks of just .245 and .250 the last two seasons. The other two factors are out of his control. The White Sox have had a dismal lineup the last few seasons, and that looks unlikely to change in 2026. Finally, Benintendi has over 600 plate appearances only once in the last five years, which also cuts down on his counting stat potential. Benintendi can be a decent source of power in deeper leagues, but he is a meaningful contributor in one category at this point in his career given the evaporation of his stolen bases.
