2026 Fantasy Outlook
Miranda had a dramatic fall from grace last season going from a major league regular in 2024, to the 2025 Opening Day third baseman, to struggling in the minors, barely playing in September and later cut from the organization. He began last season as Minnesota's starting third baseman, but was sent to the minors after just 12 games due to a slow start at the plate (.417 OPS) and a base running gaffe. He then struggled so much in the minors - hitting just .195 with a .598 OPS - that he was outright released by the Twins at the end of the season. Miranda had re-established himself as a major league regular in 2024 by hitting .284 with nine home runs and a .763 OPS, which included tying a major-league record by recording a hit in his 12 consecutive at-bats. He's struggled to find a regular spot in the lineup because his defense at third base has been mediocre to below average by most metrics and he doesn't hit for enough power to justify everyday duty at first base or DH. He'll be just 28 next season, so he could still turn around his career. However, he'll likely need to prove himself for an extended stretch in the minors Read Past Outlooks
