Cincinnati Reds
2026 Fantasy Outlook
The Platinum Glove winner in 2022, Trevino is valued for his defense at the game's most rigorous position, as well as his work ethic and communication with the pitching staff. After acquiring him from the Yankees last offseason, the Reds quickly signed Trevino to a two-year extension in March of 2025. His bat lags well behind his glove, and things got especially ugly down the stretch, with Trevino slashing .174/.207/.202 in the second half. He hit a career-high 20 doubles but only cleared the fence four times in 93 games last season, and only once has he reached double-digit homers. On a positive note, Trevino avoided the IL and cleared 300 PA for the third time in five years after missing time due to injury the previous two seasons. Now 33, Trevino will continue to help lead a young group of pitchers while serving as the No. 2 catcher behind Tyler Stephenson in Cincinnati. Read Past Outlooks
