2026 Fantasy Outlook
Perez didn't make his 2025 season debut until late May due to back inflammation, but once he did, he settled into a fairly regular role and took a small step forward from his 2024 rookie campaign. The 26-year-old outfielder blasted 13 home runs and sported a .738 OPS across 100 games, which were up from the nine home runs and .683 OPS he posted a year earlier. Perez also swiped eight bases in 11 attempts, showing increased efficiency on the bases after he recorded nine steals on 15 attempts in 2024. Perez did see his playing time dwindle a bit during the ALDS as the Tigers turned to Kerry Carpenter in right field with Colt Keith serving as the DH after returning from an injury. Heading into 2026, Carpenter is likely to return to a DH role most days with Keith in the field, so Perez has a path to a sizeable role in right. The youngster has shown some promise across his first two MLB campaigns, but Detroit has plenty of pieces to mix and match with, so a prolonged slump at any point could push Perez to more of a bench role if someone else gets hot.
