Stowers' strong season with Triple-A Norfolk had Orioles fans clamoring for his first taste of the majors. He slashed .264/.357/.527 with 19 home runs and 78 RBI in 95 games at Norfolk, and he ended up logging a .253/.306/.418 line in 99 plate appearances in the majors. He's a corner outfielder, and there's a job to be had in right field if Anthony Santander is deemed a better fit as the designated hitter in 2023. Stowers' power is his most intriguing tool -- he boasted an 11.3 percent barrel rate and 50 percent hard-hit rate in his limited sample with the Orioles in 2022. Barring a bad spring, he should open the year on the strong side of a platoon. Stowers received just four plate appearances and no starts versus left-handers in the majors last year, though he'll eventually have to get a longer look. Read Past Outlooks
