2026 Fantasy Outlook
The 19th overall pick in 2022, Susac appears poised to make his big-league debut sometime in 2026. The 6-foot-4, righty-hitting 24-year-old spent all of 2025 at Triple-A, slashing .275/.349/.483 with 18 home runs and seven steals in 97 games. In the Pacific Coast League, that slash line is actually below league average (95 wRC+), and we shouldn't expect anything close to that level of production against big-league pitching. He struck out at a 26.8 percent clip as an older Triple-A hitter, so Susac should be expected to hit well below .250 in the majors. Even so, he will get to play his home games in Sacramento, and if Shea Langeliers ever misses time, Susac could provide a little power and the odd stolen base. The Athletics left Susac unprotected for the Rule 5 Draft, so he could change organizations prior to Opening Day. Given that Susac is not on the 40-man roster, Austin Wynns is the favorite to break camp as the Athletics' backup catcher. Read Past Outlooks
