Schuemann made his big-league debut in 2024 with the A's and posted a .220/.311/.308 slash line with seven home runs and 14 steals in 133 games. He saw most of his playing time at shortstop -- where he accrued minus-one Defensive Runs Saved and plus-two Outs Above Average -- but also made 27 appearances at third base and 10 in the outfield. His 10.6 percent walk rate was consistent with the strong patience he showed in the minors, and a 25.6 percent strikeout was respectable. Schuemann could open 2025 with a regular spot in the lineup -- depending on the Athletics' offseason additions -- but he's likely better suited for a utility role. He could push for 20 stolen bases with enough plate appearances but otherwise isn't likely to be a significant fantasy contributor. Read Past Outlooks
