A potential leadoff hitter who hits double-digit homers while stealing 30-plus bases, George broke out in 2025 despite modest draft pedigree. The Orioles gave him $455K after selecting him in the 16th round in 2024 and he didn't debut until 2025, when he was assigned to the Florida Complex League a month before turning 19. He quickly forced a promotion to age-appropriate Single-A, where he slashed .337/.410/.491 with one home run, 25 steals, a 9.7 percent walk rate and a 15.6 percent strikeout rate in 43 games before getting another promotion to High-A. His extra-base power dried up a bit at High-A, but he maintained a respectable .291/.380/.392 slash line with 12 steals in 21 games. All told, the righty-hitting center fielder pilfered 50 bases in 87 games while batting .337 with five homers. He benefitted from a .405 BABIP, but that's not unusual for a speedster in the lower levels. George projects as a 70-grade defensive center fielder, so everyday playing time should be attainable if he stays on his trajectory as a hitter. Power will always be the weakest part of his game, but he could hit 15-plus homers at peak. He should return to High-A, but if George handles his eventual assignment to Double-A, he could finish the year as a top 25 prospect. Read Past Outlooks
