2021 Fantasy Outlook
At first blush, Sabato seems like a better-in-fantasy-than-reality type of prospect, and while that is undeniably true, his real-world baseball shortcomings could lead to him failing to provide fantasy value. As a 20-grade athlete who is listed at 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, he comes into pro ball already limited to designated hitter, so there is no margin for error offensively. The 2020 No. 27 overall pick by the Twins, Sabato, has 70-grade power, but he is more raw strength than bat speed. He logged a 19.6 K% in two seasons at UNC, which is a little high for a player who needs to hit as a pro. He also had a 16.6 BB% over that span, so if he makes it, it will be as a three-true outcomes masher. There are some similarities here to Indians prospect Bobby Bradley, as Sabato has the strength and swing plane to obliterate mistakes, but he can't play first base and he is susceptible to swinging and missing in the zone.
