2025 Fantasy Outlook
Collier slashed .265/.404/.466 with 10 home runs, a 17.3 percent walk rate and a 23.5 percent strikeout rate in his final 65 games as a 19-year-old for High-A Dayton. He'd shown impressive signs prior to that three-month run, but this was the summer he validated the Reds' decision to give him a $5 million bonus in the 2022 draft as a 17-year-old out of junior college. Collier has done a good job of keeping his weight in check, as he was listed at 210 pounds at the time of the draft and that figure hasn't changed, although he is now listed at 6-foot-1 instead of 6-foot-2. He split time between third base and designated hitter at High-A, but he may slide to first base by the time he's playing regularly for the Reds in 2026 or 2027. Even though Collier won't be a threat on the bases, he has done enough with the bat at a young enough age to potentially graduate as a top 10 prospect who projects to hit for a high average and on-base percentage with pole to pole power and a cozy home park. Power sapped at Double-A
Collier is slashing .342/.435/.430 with one home run, four doubles, a 14.1 percent walk rate and an 18.5 percent strikeout rate in his last 21 games for Double-A Chattanooga.
Analysis
Collier, who underwent left thumb surgery in mid-March, was activated June 3 for High-A Dayton and then quickly promoted to Chattanooga, as he had already mastered High-A to close 2024. The thumb issue appears to have sapped Collier's power this season, as he hit 20 homers in 119 games last year and has three homers in 92 games this year, with just one of those coming in 71 games at Double-A. Given that Collier's plate skills have improved as the season has gone on, and that he has shown plus raw power as a teenager in the past, he's a worthwhile buy-low target this offseason. The lefty-hitting first baseman should split his age-21 season between Double-A and Triple-A.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
The youngest hitter in last year's draft (turned 18 in November), Collier took the road less traveled en route to solidifying himself as a first-round pick. He reclassified from the 2023 class and played junior college ball at Chipola before a brief stint in the Cape Cod League. Collier hit .333/.419/.537 with eight home runs, a 15.3 K% and an 11.6 BB% in 52 games for Chipola and logged a .379 OBP in nine games on the Cape. The Reds bought in, giving Collier a way-over-slot $5 million after selecting him with the 18th overall pick. His pro debut was more of the same, hitting .370 with more walks (seven) than strikeouts (six) and a pair of home runs in nine games in the Arizona Complex League. His advanced approach is what really stands out, given his youth, and at 6-foot-2, 210 pounds, he figures to grow into substantial game power. A lefty-hitting third baseman, he has all the tools to stick there as long as he doesn't outgrow the position, which is a possibility.
