2025 Fantasy Outlook
Snider was claimed by Seattle last off-season after he was DFA'd by Arizona. With the Mariners, the 28-year-old finally found success in the majors, posting a 1.94 ERA (3.40 FIP) and 1.18 WHIP across a new career-high 41.2 frames. His 20.1 K-BB percentage was a top-40 mark among relievers and in the same company as more renowned arms such as Emmanuel Clase (20.7%), Jason Adam (20.6%) and Evan Phillips (20.2%). Snider tossed significantly fewer sinkers - which had previously been ineffective - and saw his groundball rate plummet by 22.1 percentage points. Instead, the right-hander primarily threw fastballs and sweepers along with the occasional cutter, which yielded much better results. If this carries over into 2025, he could slide into a more important role in Seattle's bullpen. Read Past Outlooks

Hit with loss in quality outing
Snider (3-4) was charged with the extra-inning loss against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing an unearned run on one hit over two innings. He struck out three.
ANALYSIS
Snider was a tough-luck loser and victim of the Mariners' offensive ineptitude Wednesday, as he put together a near-perfect outing that saw him throw 17 of 20 pitches for strikes. However, the right-hander faltered in the 10th inning by allowing a leadoff double to Anthony Rizzo, which plated phantom runner Jasson Dominguez to snap a 1-1 tie. Snider has given up just one earned run over his last 9.2 innings (nine appearances), and although he does have four holds to show for it, he's also taken two of his four losses on the season during that stretch.

Joins taxi squad
Snider reported to the Royals as a member of the taxi squad Wednesday, reports Anne Rogers of MLB.com.
ANALYSIS
Snider has a given up four earned runs over 4.2 big-league innings this season and has been at Triple-A Omaha since being optioned in mid-July. The 27-year-old hasn't pitched particularly well for Omaha this season with a 5.91 ERA and 42:31 K:BB in 39 outings, so he's likely only up with the MLB club as emergency depth.
