2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kremer missed just over six weeks with a right triceps strain. Otherwise, he did what he usually does, chew up innings with league average ratios. His ERA estimators were in line with his actual ERA as a lucky .257 BABIP was balanced by an unfortunate 66.3 percent left on base mark. Kremer's walk rate rose for the second straight season, which is a problem considering his league average strikeout clip. He's been better on the road, and now Camden Yards will play a bit more hitter friendly. He averaged 5.4 innings per start, a tick better than the league average. There may be occasions to stream Kremer, but without getting the intrinsic home field edge, deciding when to use him could lead to more harm than good. Read Past Outlooks

There were a lot of other factors at play, many of them more attention-grabbing, but Kremer's second-half surge last year certainly aided the Orioles in their surprise push to the American League East title. He had a 5.04 ERA as of the end of June, but went on to register a 3.09 ERA with 75 strikeouts over his final 81.2 regular-season innings, and the O's went 13-2 across his final 15 starts. Kremer began utilizing his cutter more often, and in doing so saw a spike in groundballs along with less and less hard contact from opposing hitters. The overall numbers don't jump off the page -- Kremer owns a career 4.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 in 370.1 major-league innings -- but that should only serve to make him a value pick in fantasy drafts this spring. Just keep those cutters coming.

Strong early returns on splitter
Kremer has dropped his changeup in favor of a splitter this season to strong early results, per Jon Meoli of The Baltimore Banner.
ANALYSIS
The right-hander is utilizing the new pitch at a 13.7 percent clip and has a 31 percent whiff rate on 62 offerings, with hitters going just 1-for-15 against it. Kremer's 4.61 ERA through five starts isn't pretty, but his 1.06 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB paint a more optimistic picture, and he's allowed more than three runs in just one of his outings.
