2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Crisantes has put up exceptional hit-tool related metrics in the lower levels of the minors, but he doesn't have huge raw power or above-average foot speed. A 6-foot second baseman who turned 20 in September, Crisantes hit .341/.429/.492 with seven homers, 30 steals, a 12.5 percent walk rate and a 15.7 percent strikeout rate in 92 games split between the Arizona Complex League and Single-A. There are no notable public scouting reports that give Crisantes better than 50-grade speed, and even one of his more glowing scouting reports (Baseball America) gave him 45-grade speed, so don't overvalue him based on his 30 steals in 2024. It's possible he's going to be a Jose Ramirez type who consistently outperforms his pure physical tools and makes his prospect scouting report look laughable in hindsight, but it's probably more likely that his output levels off against more advanced pitching and he ends up being a useful but not extraordinary fantasy second baseman in a few years. Not slowed by Single-A pitching
Crisantes is slashing .333/.429/.478 with six home runs, 20 steals, a 12.9 percent walk rate and a 15.9 percent strikeout rate in 63 games for Single-A Visalia.
ANALYSIS
Crisantes, who turned 20 on Sept. 5, has started 35 games at second base, 12 games at third base and nine games at first base while in the Cal League. A righty-hitting infielder with better instincts on the bases than pure speed, Crisantes will go as far as his bat takes him, potentially profiling as an everyday second baseman (he probably won't have enough arm for third) who gets occasional work at first base and designated hitter.
