27-Year-Old CatcherC
Washington Nationals
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Millas has long been known more for his glove behind the plate, but he's started hitting at the Triple-A level the last two seasons, most recently sporting a .311/.361/.518 batting line with nine homers at 10 steals with Rochester in 2024. The Nationals preferred him to Riley Adames as Keibert Ruiz's backup down the stretch last season, so he could make his first Opening Day roster in 2025. Millas' batted-ball data is pretty weak, but he does have plus speed - especially for a catcher - and is on a team that loves to run. Still, it's a long shot that he'd churn out much fantasy value even if he gets an opportunity. Read Past Outlooks

Returning to big leagues
CWashington Nationals
July 7, 2025
Millas is expected to be called up from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis
Millas is set to join the Nationals in St. Louis ahead of the team's three-game set with the Cardinals beginning Tuesday. The catcher was sent down to Triple-A on Friday, but he'll make a quick return to the big-league roster. It's unclear who will be displaced from Washington's roster in a corresponding move.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
A former seventh-round pick out of Missouri State, Millas had a breakout season between Double-A Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester in 2023, slashing .291/.390/.442 with seven home runs and six stolen bases over 83 games. It led to his first cup of coffee in the majors and he more than held his own in reaching base 12 times in 33 plate appearances while homering once. Millas' hard-hit rate both in the majors (20.8 percent) and minors (20.7 percent) was exceedingly weak, so it's unlikely he'll ever contribute more than a handful of homers at the major-league level. The 26-year-old is a good athlete for a catcher and could chip in with a handful of steals, but ultimately he profiles as a defense-first backup. Millas enters 2024 behind Keibert Ruiz and Riley Adams on the Nationals' catching depth chart.
