Farmelo was one of three prep position players to receive at least a $2.5 million bonus from the Mariners after being selected in the 22-30 overall range of the 2023 draft. Unlike his new org. mates Colt Emerson and Tai Peete, Farmelo didn't get into a regular-season game after signing due to a concussion, so he doesn't have any official stats, but but he did hit a clutch home run during Single-A Modesto's run to a California League postseason title. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound center fielder is a plus-plus runner who projects to be a quality defender. Suffers torn ACL
Single-A Modesto placed Farmelo on its 7-day injured list Friday after he was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
