Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Arroyo is a 5-foot-8 second baseman whose 2024 statistical output is hard to ignore. He split his age-19 season evenly with 60 games apiece at Single-A and High-A, finishing with a .285/.400/.509 slash line, 23 home runs, 18 steals and an elite 35.1 percent hard-hit rate. He walked over 11 percent of the time at both stops and his strikeout rate jumped from 20.2 percent to 25.9 percent after the promotion to High-A. Arroyo benefitted somewhat from a few cozy parks in the Northwest League, but when considering his age and on-base percentage, it was an awfully impressive offensive campaign. He doesn't project to add much value with the glove at the keystone, so it all hinges on Arroyo's bat translating at the highest level. He'll have a much tougher home park at Double-A Arkansas and will be one of the youngest players in the Texas League, so don't be surprised if his output isn't quite as staggering in 2025. Even so, he's tracking towards being a bat-first everyday second baseman who contributes a little bit of everything in fantasy and could arrive in the big leagues in 2026. Read Past Outlooks

Cut from big-league camp
The Mariners reassigned Arroyo to minor-league camp Monday.
ANALYSIS
Arroyo saw action in nine Cactus League games this spring, going 2-for-11 at the dish, but the top prospect was always destined to return to the minors to start the 2025 campaign. A 20-year-old infielder, Arroyo slashed .285/.400/.509 with 23 homers and 18 stolen bases between Single-A Modesto and High-A Everett in 2024. He could moved up to Double-A Arkansas in 2025.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Arroyo, a seven-figure signee out of Colombia in the 2022 J-15 class, stood out as one of the best players in the Dominican Summer League. He hit .314/.457/.484 with four home runs, four steals on eight attempts, a 27.2 LD%, 38.6 FB%, 13.6 BB% and 16.6 K% in 49 games. Given his shaky speed metrics (6.2 Spd score on FanGraphs) and the fact he played 11 games at third base and seven games at second base, we should operate under the assumption Arroyo will slide down the defensive spectrum from shortstop. He could be a special hitter and will look to keep his momentum going in the Arizona Complex League this year.
