On hitting rampage at Single-A
3BSeattle Mariners  A
June 24, 2023
Arroyo is hitting .361 with one home run, six doubles and a 3:6 K:BB in nine games with Single-A Modesto.
ANALYSIS
Arroyo, who opened the year as one of the top prospects in the Arizona Complex League, hit .636 with one strikeout in his first four ACL games before getting promoted to Single-A on June 13. He is a hit-over-power middle infielder, but Arroyo is ahead of schedule in the power department, as he has a .723 slugging percentage in a small sample across the two levels.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
Arroyo, a seven-figure signee out of Colombia in the 2022 J-15 class, stood out as one of the best players in the Dominican Summer League. He hit .314/.457/.484 with four home runs, four steals on eight attempts, a 27.2 LD%, 38.6 FB%, 13.6 BB% and 16.6 K% in 49 games. Given his shaky speed metrics (6.2 Spd score on FanGraphs) and the fact he played 11 games at third base and seven games at second base, we should operate under the assumption Arroyo will slide down the defensive spectrum from shortstop. He could be a special hitter and will look to keep his momentum going in the Arizona Complex League this year.
