2026 Projections
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Anduar enjoyed a career resurgence in 2025, slashing .318/.352/.470 with 10 homers in 94 regular-season games between Sacramento and Cincinnati. A Grade 2 right oblique strain cost him a fair amount of time in the middle of the season, and he was limited in September by a quad injury. When available, he crushed lefties (.986 OPS), with Reds skipper Terry Francona regularly batting Andujar cleanup in those matchups. Chances are, he will never come close to reaching the same heights he did in 2018 when he slugged 27 homers and drove in 92 with the Yankees, but Andujar almost certainly extended a big-league career that previously appeared on life support. He should have interest from teams in free agency, even if primarily as a platoon/bench bat. Andujar brings dual eligibility to the table in 2026, qualifying at both third base and outfield. Andujar appeared in 75 games for the A's in 2024 and hit .285 with a 13.2 percent strikeout rate, but he walked at a 4.1 percent clip and had a .092 ISO, which resulted in a .320 OBP and .377 SLG. He missed the start of the season due to knee surgery and closed the campaign on the 60-day IL due to core-muscle surgery, but the Athletics apparently intend to keep him around for 2025 after tendering him a contract. Andujar doesn't offer much speed or power, so there's limited upside even if he hits well in a regular role.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Possible option for Mariners
Andujar is a potential low-cost option for the Mariners at third base, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Analysis
Ben Williamson is the current favorite to open the 2026 season as the Mariners' starter at third base, with Colt Emerson also in the mix. Seattle hasn't ruled out an outside addition, though, which includes the possibility of re-signing Eugenio Suarez. If the Mariners look to a lesser option, they could turn to Andujar, who slashed .318/.352/.470 with 10 home runs over 94 regular-season contests between the Athletics and Reds in 2025. Andujar started 31 games at third base between the majors and minors last season, but his playing time at the hot corner over the last several years has been fairly limited, so it seems unlikely Seattle would want him to be an everyday guy at that position.
