2015 Fantasy Outlook
Blewett was drafted 56th overall in the 2014 first-year player draft and used in a limited capacity in rookie ball, allowing 15 earned runs in 28 innings spanning eight games (seven starts). The 18-year-old righty owns a fastball that already touches 94 mph, in addition to an excellent 12-to-6 curveball, which is likely his best pitch. He still has some work to do on his command (29:15 K:BB ratio in rookie ball), but the Royals have high hopes for the prospect, who some suggest may eventually develop into a No. 2 starter at the big league level. The youngster will look to rise quickly through the farm system ranks in 2015, but will likely need a few more seasons before he sees meaningful time in the show. Nonetheless, Blewett remains an intriguing prospect in dynasty formats.
