2019 Fantasy Outlook
Pannone quietly moved his way up the minor-league ranks the last couple years, and pitched well enough to make his big-league debut with the Blue Jays last August. He held his own after that, and threw the ball well in the majority of his appearances. Pannone tops out only in the low-90s, though, and his FIP indicates he got a bit lucky last year. He could compete for a spot in the Blue Jays’ rotation during spring training, and if he doesn’t work there, there’s a good chance he opens in the big-league bullpen given his reverse splits against right-handed hitters, who hit just .200 against him in the majors in 2018.
